Letay Williams
Project Title: Traytown
Letay Williams’ journey into filmmaking began at the University of the West Indies where she embraced her passion for screenwriting. She has since written, produced and directed two short films which won awards at the GATFFEST Film Festival and in 2019, she pitched and won funding for the production of her latest short film Traytown (2020) which has screened at multiple international film festivals. Letay is intentional about creating stories infused with the diverse, vibrant culture of her Jamaican heritage that resonate with a global audience. Letay is currently an M.F.A. in Screenwriting candidate at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, and is developing two feature-length screenplays and a tv pilot.
