Laurence Magloire

Laurence Magloire was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She lived and worked for many years in Montreal, including 11 years with the Canadian Broadcasting Television where she was a producer for children’s program. She moved back to her native Haiti where she created the renowned award winning documentary film Of men and gods with Anne Lescot, released in 2002 by DigitalLM Films Production, that she founded with her co-director. She founded Haitian-based production company fastforward, with Eric Auguste. Fastforward is a dynamic company specialized in new media concepts, digital scenography, stage design and video production. They are the main operator and sponsor of Sinema anba zetwal for Fondation MWéM that she co-founded in 2003 with the mission of empowering and educating Haitians with their own images through films, video, photos. Laurence has also produced a number of documentary films in Haiti.
